Last night we started a new highlighting party to markup Haggai. I feel like I have even more fun every time we start a new class.

I ran a crude, unlisted stream for a few folks who couldn't be there in person, and it was good enough. I'll share a link to last night's class below, and I plan to stream the rest live if you want to join us on Thursdays at 7 pm (cst). Shoot me a message if you want a printable Haggai text.

I've added pictures of our live markup, my revised markup, and my permanent markup in my Bible. I also added Julia's since she's the best. And for fun, you can see our super encouraging crew who joined us live from New York.

Do your Bible however you want. What matters the most is that you have a way to remember what you've learned. I would LOVE to see what you come up with if you want to share your own work in the comments.

I have not forgotten about you. I'm prepping notes for Rev. 1:1-4, but I need to shelve it for now. I have a new round of marriage classes to prep and camp class material to get out. If you're interested, I'm posting all those notes on the ETW website.

This conversation is one of the main reasons why I wanted to do this podcast. There is rarely a good time (or time at all) in a Bible class or sermon to talk about these things, and I’m glad to finally get some use out of my notes.

In this lesson, I talk about the Roman Imperial Cult, how local Trade Guilds forced the issue, and how both of these put Christians into an impossible situation.

I was at a Bible study with a friend this morning, and he asked, "Do you think Revelation is the most misunderstood book of the Bible by the world?" I replied, "I think Revelation is the most misunderstood book of the Bible by CHRISTIANS!" Yes, that probably means YOU too.

I saw a new idea at a meeting in Virginia this weekend. Some ladies add notes to their Bibles on vellum paper. This could be a good substitute for sticky notes.
