This conversation is one of the main reasons why I wanted to do this podcast. There is rarely a good time (or time at all) in a Bible class or sermon to talk about these things, and I’m glad to finally get some use out of my notes.

In this lesson, I talk about the Roman Imperial Cult, how local Trade Guilds forced the issue, and how both of these put Christians into an impossible situation.

I was at a Bible study with a friend this morning, and he asked, "Do you think Revelation is the most misunderstood book of the Bible by the world?" I replied, "I think Revelation is the most misunderstood book of the Bible by CHRISTIANS!" Yes, that probably means YOU too.

Oh man!!! Big update.

I just posted 12 classes on Ecclesiastes written by Jonathan Banning on Engage the Word. This material is meant for teenagers, but it truly is for everyone! I'm not talking about just for teaching, but for personal study. He does such a great job highlighting the Word in a way that is easy to understand and meaningful for life RIGHT NOW!

The point of this project is to share the Word freely with anyone and everyone. Thank you, Jonathan, for the amazing work and for sharing it.
