Today, several attendees of Little Germany Church of God publicly accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and were baptized by Pastor Larry Hale. We are grateful for Pastor Larry’s willingness to step in and serve our congregation during this season without a full-time pastor. We also extend a heartfelt thank-you to our brothers and sisters in Christ at Enola First Church of God for welcoming us and sharing in this special day. Glory be to God!

Over the past nine months, as we continue our search for a new pastor, our church family has been open to trying a few new things to help us grow in worship and fellowship. We’ve introduced PowerPoint to guide our services, offered snacks to encourage connection and community, and added a contemporary Christian song to our closing each week.

We know that some of these changes have felt different, and at first there were some questions. But week by week, we’ve seen more and more of our congregation nodding along, tapping their feet, and lifting their voices in song, embracing the joy of praising God in new ways.

🎶 This week, we’re excited to introduce a new closing song: “Who You Say I Am”.

We invite you to listen ahead and come prepared to be washed in the Spirit of the Lord as we sing together and celebrate the unchanging truth of our identity in Christ.

Come with open hearts and expectant spirits. We can’t wait to worship with you this Sunday! ✝️❤️

✨ This Week’s Thought ✨

Philippians 4:6–7 says:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Worry creeps into all of our lives. Bills, health concerns, family struggles, the uncertainty of our world, it can feel overwhelming. But Paul gives us a simple, powerful instruction: don’t let anxiety rule you. Instead, bring everything to God in prayer.

The promise? A peace that doesn’t make sense to the world. A peace that steadies our hearts and minds when life feels unsteady. A peace rooted not in circumstances, but in Christ Himself.

So this week, when worry starts to rise, stop and pray. Thank God for who He is, and hand over the weight you’re carrying. His peace will meet you right where you are.

🙏 Trade your worry for His peace.

Join us Sundays at 9:00AM for worship, and let’s seek God’s presence together.

We were blessed by a message by Pastor Barb Maurice this morning.

Ephesians 5:1–20 reminds us how we are called to live as God’s people.

Paul starts with this command: Imitate God. If you are following Him, you are His child. If not, you are still His creation. But, when you surrender your life to Christ, you are adopted into His family. That is the greatest gift of all.

❤️ Live a life filled with love. Some people are difficult to love, but Christ died for them whether we like them or not. Loving others is not a suggestion, it’s a command. Paul warns us that greed and selfishness are forms of idolatry.

🌟 Live as children of light. Don’t excuse sin or call darkness “light”. God’s Word is the truth, and what people mean for evil, God can turn for good.

❤️ Be filled with the Spirit. Paul says, “Don’t be drunk with wine”. Why? Because the things of this world numb us, but the Holy Spirit fills us with joy, strength, and life. The joy of the Lord truly is our strength.

🙏 Give thanks in everything. Even when life feels confusing or heavy, we trust that all things work together for good in the eyes of the Lord. That’s hard to accept sometimes, especially when we think about loved ones who may not be with us in eternity, but it is also a call to share Christ’s hope more urgently.

Friends, America is wrestling with so much right now. But this chapter points us back to the unchanging truth: Imitate God. Live in love. Walk in light. Be filled with the Spirit. Give thanks always.

We invite you to join us Sundays at 9:00am as we open God’s Word together and seek His strength as a church family.

Come as you are. You are welcome here.

Bradley Garman brought a powerful word this morning on The Good Father.

📖 Luke 15:1–24

Jesus told stories about a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost son—not to shame the ones who wandered, but to show us this: heaven throws a party when the lost come home.

💭 So often we ask, “Do you believe in God?”
But maybe the better question is:
“What kind of God do you believe in?”

For many of us, the answer is shaped by our earthly dads—some kind, some distant, some missing altogether. But Jesus came to change that image completely.

In the story of the Prodigal Son, we meet a Father who is:
✨ Available – He’s always ready to listen
✨ Generous – He gives even when we’ve messed up
✨ Influential – His love leaves a lasting impact
✨ Forgiving – He runs to meet us with open arms

When the son came home, the father didn’t scold him. He celebrated him. That’s the heart of our God—full of mercy, welcome, and restoration.

Here are 4 reminders to carry with you this week:
1. God sees and understands your pain.
2. You don’t have to jump into the pig pen to save someone.
3. Leave the light on—they’ll know the way back.
4. And when they return? Receive them with love.

💡 If you’re a parent praying for a prodigal, don’t give up hope.
If you’ve planted faith, God is still working. He can still bring them home.

Take Heart Tuesday –
Lead with Purpose, Not Popularity 💼✝️

In today’s workplace, leadership buzzwords like empathy, servant leadership, and emotional intelligence are everywhere. And while those are good and godly traits, we risk missing the mark when leadership becomes more about comfort than conviction.

🎯 Servant leadership is not about pleasing everyone, rather it is about honoring Christ.

As Professor Andrew Babyak, Messiah University notes, leadership rooted in Jesus is not just soft-spoken or kind; it’s sacrificial, truthful, and eternally focused.

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
Galatians 1:10 (NIV)

🧭 Whether you lead in the office, the classroom, the church, or your home please remember:

True leadership costs something. It means standing for truth, even when it is unpopular.

It means putting Christ first, even when the crowd demands something else.

Take heart, leader. Your quiet faithfulness matters more than applause ever will. 🙌
