On Wednesday nights this summer, we are introducing a series called “The Hot Seat”, where our pastor will be on the hot seat every week addressing controversial topics and questions that come along with historic, Biblical Christianity. From topics like abortion and homosexuality to multisite mega-churches and gender-roles, we will seek to gain a Biblical approach to the culture and world in which we live. Join us tomorrow night for our introductory session of “The Hot Seat”!

Today was our final day of Mission: Ellington. It has been our joy to serve our community this week! Thanks again to Potosi Southern Baptist Church and Logan Valley Christian Retreat for helping make this week possible, and thank you to all the individuals, organizations, and community members for allowing us the opportunity to serve you this week! We are looking forward to Mission: Ellington 2027, so if you have any projects for next summer, keep us in mind! We’d love to serve you!

This year, instead of a traditional church camp, we decided to take a week and focus on serving those in our community. This week, we have teams of teens and adults from our church and Potosi Southern Baptist Church doing service projects throughout Ellington. We are proud to be part of this community, and so thankful for the opportunity to serve you! We have also been fortunate to partner with Logan Valley Christian Retreat, and they have provided great food, lodging, and help throughout the week, as well! Reminder: tomorrow night we will be having a planning meeting for Mission Ellington at the church at 6:00. If your teenagers are going to participate, or if you are interested in helping our teens in their service projects next week, we’d love to see you at the meeting so that we can get the logistics and scheduling figured out. If your teen would like to participate, message Pastor Ryan or call the church and let us know.
