Thought for today ….. the origin of rebellion .
As a pastor for almost 30 years now , I have more questions about mankind than I did when I started 😬…. I believe all of our answers to humankind can be found in the word of God.
I‘v watched many people thru the years come into relationship with the one true Holy God and then turn and walk away as well as our relationships with one another …. Plz note I included myself in that last comment our relationships.
I believe this all stems from a form of rebellion …. No matter how (subtle) it may seem it’s not a trait of the Most High God that we serve ….in the beginning man was assigned the task of being fruitful and multiplying the earth with Gods creation … his earthly sons and daughters ….their time at head of that task was short lived as they fell into deception and rebellion with help of the serpent (the most subtle of all creatures ). We know as Satan , Lucifer or the shining one. Beware of the stars that shine 🤔 Genesis 3
That was the beginning of rebellion with earthly sons and daughters. And the rebellion of heavenly sons of God we read about shortly after in Genesis 6 and another rebellion in Genesis 11.
We need to take a look at how we got here to Really understand all that Jesus really did when he came to earth as an obedient one and only Son of God.
And how he took back ownership of everything that was stolen by Dying on a cross and shedding his innocent blood , for humankinds tainted , fallen , rebellious blood. So Jew and gentiles alike , which we’re many could be in full on relationship with there heavenly Father without the sin of rebellion ……so next time your tempted to rebel against Gods word to have your way. Remember who the father of that rebellion is …. And remember the price that’s been paid in full so you can live in obedience to your heavenly Father …..
Thank you Jesus you paid it all !
Let’s be obedient Sons & Daughters !
Love y’all !
