Emory United Methodist Church, Ellicott City Worship on Sundays @ 9:30am. Emory is a historic church overlooking Main St Ellicott City and serving our community and the Lord since 1837. All are welcome.

Emory United Methodist Church has been serving our Lord and Community from high on a hill overlooking Main Street in historic Ellicott City since 1837. At Emory United Methodist Church, faith, community and history run as deep as the granite outcropping it’s built upon. Emory’s pastor is Sam Moore. Our 9:30 a.m. Sunday services are as inspiring as the light streaming through our glorious sunflower

stained glass window. We are Emory United Methodist Church - a close knit church family that believes Christian faith is revealed in Scripture, illuminated by tradition, brought to life in personal experience, and confirmed by reason. Emory reaches out both locally and internationally through community events and partnerships with aid organizations, non-profits and sister churches. Emory is a place where all are welcome. SUNDAY FEB 8 SERVICE CANCELED: Due to inclement weather causing extremely frigid temperatures and icy conditions, we will be closed and all activities will be canceled along with worship service on Sunday, February 8th. The extreme cold combined with the excessive ice accumulation around the Emory buildings, has led us to decide to cancel service in an abundance of caution for the safety of our members.

Stay warm and hopefully we'll see you next Sunday!

Join us at 9:30am at Emory UMC this Sunday for worship service. We will be live-streaming service for those unable to attend in person. We will be holding Communion during worship service this week and have Rev. Phil Ayers as our guest pastor. The Trustees have been working hard on getting paths at the church cleared of snow and ice for entry, so we are planning to still hold service as long as more winter weather doesn’t arrive beforehand. Please check back here or on the website for any notices on whether plans change and any closings occur. See you on Sunday!

Celebrating a wonderful day this Easter with our Ellicott City community family early this morning at our Ellicott City Community Easter Son-rise Service at the The Wine Bin in Historic Ellicott City and then with our church family at our Traditional Worship service later in the morning in the Emory Sanctuary filled with Easter flowers and followed by some fun, food and fellowship on the front lawn.
