Jesus is alive! We no longer have to live in fear of death because God came down and proved that death was not the end of the story for our lives. God’s power goes beyond the grave and offers us an eternal hope. Are you living like He is alive? Like His power is real? Pray and ask Jesus to breath resurrection life into your heart and the hearts of those who don’t know him yet around you.

1 Corinthians 2:16

The Bible can be an intimidating book to crack open! The language, culture, and history of the stories enclosed in this great story take work to decipher and understand. Thankfully, God tells us that we don’t have to have all the ability to gain wisdom from his book. He gives us the “mind of Christ” so we can begin to unfold pieces of the mystery of who He is.

Philippians 1:18

We need eyes to see the big picture when it comes to our faith. Many of us need to practice the phrase “but that doesn’t matter” just as Paul uses it in Philippians. Believers are getting caught up inside issues that are distracting us from the most important mission we have been given, which is to preach the gospel! God’s got the rest.

Dear Welcome Friend Family,

Due to the expected winter weather conditions, out of an abundance of caution and concern for everyone’s safety and well-being, we have made the decision to cancel all previously scheduled activities. The WFBC campus will be CLOSED all weekend. We will NOT have in-person worship.

WHISPER
And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. (NLT)
1 Kings 19:12

The story that is being told in 1 Kings is about Elijah running from his enemies. He is upset with God and meets him in the wilderness. When God is ready to speak to him there was an earthquake, then a windstorm, and a fire but God was not in these mighty displays. Next comes a gentle whisper and that was God. We often look for mighty signs as proof that God is speaking in our lives but we miss it because God is in the whisper. Quiet your heart and mind and open your ears to hear God’s gentle voice.
