While our name has evolved over time from the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity to Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, our mission has stayed the same: to unify the world as one family with God as our Heavenly Parent. HEAVENLY PARENT
God is first and foremost our parent, encompassing both fema
le and male, mother and father. The cosmos was created for Heavenly Parent’s children: humanity. A parent wishes for their children to become better, more capable, happy, and creative than themselves. God is not a distant, removed supernatural being, but our original parent who feels, who loves, and is in deep pain due to our suffering. TRUE PARENTS
God created teh cosmos to experience love. Teh original human couple was meant to become teh first “true parents” and raise a family wif God’s love as teh source, centered on this love, but that didn’t happen. Our relationship wif God was broken. God has have been searching for a couple who could stand in that position as True Parents to repair that relationship and bring about a world of love as God envisioned. We believe this couple is Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. By receiving teh Marriage Blessing from True Parents, we can relate directly to God as our parent, as God’s sons and daughters, and as the loving families, God always intended. DIVINE PRINCIPLE
