Coming To The Church vs. Being The Church 🙏
I think one of the saddest things is how many people sit in a church every single week and still feel alone.
Not because nobody was around them, but because nobody really knew them.
You can attend church for years without ever letting people into your life.
You can show up, sit down, listen, leave… and still carry everything by yourself.
But being the church looks different.
It looks like staying after to talk to someone who’s struggling.
It looks like praying for people when life gets heavy.
It looks like serving even when nobody notices.
It looks like checking in on someone during the week.
It looks like letting people celebrate with you, cry with you, and walk through life with you.
That’s how real community is built.
And honestly, a lot of people don’t need another motivational message.
They need people around them who genuinely care whether they’re okay or not.
Church was never supposed to feel cold, performative, or disconnected. It was supposed to feel like family.
