McKee, an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Spokane. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." I believe that the Holy surrounds each person and that God calls us to enter the holy ground of relationship with God and one another. Toward that end, I offer workshops and retreats for adults and youth alike on a variety of topics including prayer practices (particu
larly contemplative ones), history of the Bible, social justice and Christianity, Anglican rosaries, women's spirituality, finding your faith when religion has hurt, and use of the labyrinth as spiritual practice. I also provide spiritual direction. Spiritual direction has been likened to the ancient concept of "soul friend" or "Anam Cara." It is a professional relationship focused on helping someone explore their relationship with God, faith, prayer, and understanding of God's particular call for that person. I am also an accomplished liturgist and enjoy designing liturgy for special services as well as helping congregations enliven their liturgical practice to create holy space within the context of worship. My seminary education took place at Nashotah House and I have been a priest in the Episcopal Church for over 25 years. I am deeply rooted on the Anglican "tripod" of scripture, reason, and tradition, but I also strive to listen to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the emergent church and through active participation in inter-faith dialogue. If you are would like me to lead a workshop or retreat for your church or youth group or you would like to explore the possibility of spiritual direction, please contact me at 509-607-3217 or [email protected]
