Jesus looked at the hurting people around Him and said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." 🌾

Every day, opportunities surround us to make a difference in someone's life. There are people longing for encouragement, healing, understanding, and hope. Yet many times we assume someone else will step in.

We pray for solutions. 🙏
We pray for healing. 🙏
We pray for change. 🙏

And prayer is essential.

But what if God is calling us to become part of the answer?

The needs of the world can feel overwhelming, but Jesus reminds us that even small acts of faithfulness matter. A conversation, an act of kindness, a moment of grace, or a helping hand can become a glimpse of God's kingdom breaking into someone's life. ❤️

The harvest is still plentiful today. The question is not whether there is work to do. The question is whether we are willing to step into the field.

There is no shortage of pain in the world. 💔 It shows up in our homes, our communities, our relationships, and even within our own hearts. Some pain is visible. Some remains hidden behind smiles and routine.

In this week's message, Jesus looks upon the crowds and sees people who are hurting, struggling, and searching for hope. He doesn't turn away from their suffering. He moves toward it with compassion. ❤️

Compassion is more than feeling sorry for someone. It is allowing another person's pain to touch our hearts deeply enough that we are moved to respond. Sometimes that response is a kind word. Sometimes it's listening. Sometimes it's standing alongside someone who feels alone. 🤝

The good news of the Gospel is that God does not ignore human suffering. Through Jesus, we see a God who enters into our pain, understands our struggles, and calls us to do the same for one another.

As followers of Christ, we are invited not to avoid the broken places of life, but to bring God's love, hope, mercy, and healing into them. ✨

Jesus looks at the hurting crowds with deep compassion in Matthew chapters 9 and 10. He asks his disciples to pray for laborers to enter the harvest of human pain. Immediately after they pray, Jesus sends those very same disciples out to be the answer to their own prayer. This passage shows that true faith requires aligning our lives with our prayers by offering our own hands and feet to heal a broken world. We must face both our own suffering and the pain of others to discover real compassion.

✝️ At the heart of Matthew 9 is a powerful reminder: Jesus was never distracted by interruptions because He was always aligned with God's purpose.

He saw hope where others saw hopelessness.
He saw life where others saw death.
He saw possibilities where others saw obstacles.

When He arrived at the synagogue leader's home, everyone believed the story was over.

Jesus disagreed.

🌅 Where others saw an ending, Jesus saw a beginning.

Sometimes our lives become misaligned by fear, disappointment, busyness, or doubt. Yet God continually calls us back toward faith, mercy, hope, and love.

Perhaps the question for us today is simple:

What in my life needs realignment?

Who needs a helping hand?
Who needs encouragement?
Who needs to know they are seen and loved?

When we align our hearts with God's purpose and our hands with the needs of others, we become living reflections of Christ's love in the world.

✨ Grace doesn't just change our direction—it changes our vision.

🚧📖 Ladies, we've hit a small bump in the road... literally! 😄

Due to paving work around the church this week, our Women's Bible Study will be taking a brief pause. While the fresh pavement gets settled in, we're taking an extra week before gathering again.

✨ Good news! We'll be back at our usual time on Thursday, June 18, ready for fellowship, study, laughter, and encouragement.

💛 Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we make improvements to our church home. We like to think we're paving the way for even smoother journeys ahead! 😉

Until then, enjoy the extra week, stay safe around the construction, and know that we can't wait to see you again soon!
