When we’re doing life, all kinds of things come up. As we say, life be lifeing!
When life is lifeing, or when the enemy is throwing his darts at us, what do we do?
Do we cave in and quit, or do we rise up in faith, knowing that God has our back? Do we starve our doubts and feed our faith? Do we put our total trust in God, knowing that He will do just what He said He would do?

Let’s continue making our faith a priority. Listen to The Word of God, speak the Word of God, read the Word of God, pray and then obey!

This week, we’re focusing on the Godly habit of, “making our faith a priority!”

The scriptures tells us, that we, should live by faith. Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38. It also tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:7, that we should walk by faith and not by sight.

Faith is simply believing God’s promises, before we see them. It’s also acting on what God (The Bible) tells us to do!
It’s not just being a hearer of The Word but it’s being a doer of The Word!

Faith believes The Word and acts in The Word (does what The Word says)

Make Faith a priority and have a Faith filled week!

This week, we are developing the Godly habit of, applying The Word! Not just hearing The Word but being a doer of The Word!

It’s great to listen to God’s Word, faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God. Let’s take it a step further and act on The Word of God!

James 1:25 - tells us that we will be blessed when we do The Word, when we do what God tells us to do!

Take some time to meditate on this scripture.

“But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].”

Pastor Ray began a new series entitled “Godly Habits!”
Everyday, we do things, not necessarily based on decision but based on habit.
We scroll social media out of habit. We grab a cup of coffee from our favorite coffee shop, out of habit! We travel a certain way to work, out of habit! We’ve developed these habits over a period of time.

What if we developed a habit of prayer, a habit of reading our Bible. A habit of listening to the Word of God on our way to work! A habit of showing love and kindness to our co-workers.

Developing Godly habits, will require some change on our part but small changes could lead to big results!

In our pursuit to become one with God, it will require some changing on our part. Maybe, it's a change in our daily habits, maybe, it's a change in our attitude. Change is inevitable, change is necessary! Change is not change until we change.

Let's begin to look at change differently. Instead of trying to change, let's start training to change. When we try to change, we make excuses as why we can't or haven't changed. When we're training to change, we make a daily commitment to it and trust God to help us!

Here's a scripture to meditate on -

2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP (Amplified Bible)

And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.

God has made His power available to us, so that, we can walk right (live right). Through the blood of Jesus and The Power of The Holy Ghost we can overcome any sin or temptation. The scripture tells us that in us (Romans 7:18) For I know nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.
We may not be able to do this on our own but with His Power, the power of the Holy Spirit, we overcome!!

Walk in His power

God has power and ability! We must put our trust in what He's able to do in us, through us and for us.
Many times, we only focus on our own abilities and what we are able to do instead of focusing, on what God can do! He's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think! (Ephesians 3:20)
He's able to make all grace, every favor and every earthly blessing come towards us in abundance! (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Like Abraham, we can become fully persuaded, that what God has promised, He's also able to perform it. (Romans 4:21)

When we become one with God, we become one with His Word! We become examples of His love, His peace, His joy, His strength.
When we let our light shine before others, when they see our good works, it brings glory and honor to our Heavenly Father!

When we're becoming one with God, we live out His purpose for our lives! He knows the plans that He has for us! His plans are good and not evil. His plan is to prosper us, in every area of our lives. His plan is for us to walk in divine health and healing. His plan is for us to be a blessing to others.
