Big Elk Chapel Historic Big Elk Chapel was built in 1877 at the corner of Big Elk Chapel and Gallaher Roads in Cecil County, Maryland.

Big Elk Chapel stands at the corner of Big Elk Chapel and Gallaher Roads in Cecil County, Maryland. It was built in 1877 following a series of tent revivals. Since the congregation merged with nearby Cherry Hill United Methodist Church in 1964, the chapel has been in limited service for special events. It remains a beloved historical landmark.
