What We Believe

WELCOME TO ELKINS, AR CHURCH OF CHRIST! The Elkins congregation was established in the mid-1940s and has continued at its present location since the late 1940s. Notable ministers who have served this congregation over the years are George Dockery, Leland Couch, and Lacy Randall, Jack Harriman, and Frank J. Jack English presently se

rves as pulpit minister and teacher. The aim of this church is to be non-denominational, as the church was in the 1st Century. Such is possible by believing what they believed, doing what they did, and being what they were – Christian, no more, no less. This church sings a ca****la style, and observes the Lord’s supper every Sunday as the 1st Century church did. First and foremost, we believe in the love and mercy of God, the saving blood of Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. THE BIBLE TEACHES THE FOLLOWING PATH TO SALVATION:
First, one must HEAR the saving gospel. (Romans 1:16; Romans 10:17)

Second, one must BELIEVE in Christ. (Mark 16:16, John 8:24; John 20:30-31, Hebrews 11:6)

Third, one must REPENT of his sins. (Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30)

Fourth, one must CONFESS faith in Christ. (Matthew 10:32, Acts 8:37, Romans 10:9-10)

Fifth, one must BE IMMERSED (ie, BAPTIZED) for the remission of sins. (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4)

Sixth, one must LIVE FAITHFULLY. (I Corinthians 15:58, Revelation 2:10)

Whitehouse Church of Christ's Gospel Meeting will be held July 23 - 27, 2023 (Sunday - Thursday).

From Hwy. 16 E. turn onto Black Oak Road (WC #57 outside of Elkins) and at the four way stop turn left onto Whitehouse Road (WC #43).

Whitehouse Church is located next to the Whitehouse Rural Fire Department at 14651 S. Whitehouse Road Fayetteville, AR 72701.

The speaker will be Randall Caselman from Bella Vista. Sunday morning 10:00am. Sunday - Thursday 7:00pm nightly.

It is with a heavy heart to inform everyone that our beloved church member, Ronnie Matthews, has unexpectedly passed away on August 16. Ronnie was always a bright and shining soul and will be greatly missed. There will be a visitation at Beards Chapel August 17 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. His funeral will be held at the Elkins Church of Christ August 19 at 10 a.m.

Updated 01/25/2022. We decided that Covid-19 is bad again. We will go back to only having Sunday AM Bible class and worship service at 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM respectively. We will not meet on Sunday PM or Wednesday PM until things get better.
If you cannot join us, please continue to worship at home or wherever you choose to. There is a post here 11/09/2020 and on the blog page of our website, https://elkinschurchofchrist.com, for where to find livestream online service broadcasts as well as other options like watching 'In Search of the Lord's Way' on TV.
