You might be thinking, "I've done VBS a hundred times already! Why do I need to come to a clinic? I know how to do VBS!" Did you know that Lifeway's studies show that for every 1 person trained in VBS clinics, there is 1.1 decisions made for Christ? How exciting is that? It is great to come to the clinic simply to surround yourself with others who share your love for VBS and to renew your excitement and fire for VBS and for our Lord and Savior! Believe me, I HAVE done VBS a hundred times (so it seems, maybe about 30 times really). And every year I get excited all over again when I attend the training at Ridgecrest. Even if you are a seasoned and spectacular teacher, we can all learn from one another and share in our excitement and spirit! Maybe we (and the Lord) needs you there just to share your experiences with someone else! The love for VBS is contagious!! Come out and share with us on this Tuesday, May 23 at 6:30pm at Ronda First Baptist Church!

We are just BUBBLING UP WITH EXCITEMENT!
The Annual VBS Training Clinic is Monday, May 16th, 6:00pm. At First Baptist Church of Ronda. We need all Churches in the Elkin Association, to Assemble their Crew and join us for an evening of learning, excitement & sharing! There are lots of classes; Crafts, Missions, Pastors, Directors, Classrooms, As well as Snack previews, Music previews, and lots of decorating ideas!

A big thanks to everyone who came to the clinic on Monday evening! It is our prayer that everyone there was able to pick up an idea or two that can help in your church VBS & that just maybe, you caught a little enthusiasm for VBS. We are going to keep our decorations up for a couple of weeks if there is anybody who couldn't make it on Monday but would like to stop by to see our treehouse and other decor. Also, please let us know if you'd like an evangelism clinic or any other help for your church. We are here to help in your Journey Off The Map!!!

Hello VBS workers!

It is hard to believe that spring has sprung and that summer is just around the corner! And we all know that summer means that VBS is quickly approaching. Are you ready to journey off the map? Well, we are here to help! We are Susan Baker and Jane Hall, your Elkin Baptist Associational Vacation Bible School Directors. And we are super excited about this year's VBS!

Our annual training will be this upcoming Monday, April 27, 2015 at 6:00pm at Ronda First Baptist Church. This exciting event is for ALL VBS lovers! We invite pastors, directors, teachers, mission leaders, recreation leaders, craft leaders, snack leaders and helpers of all kinds to come out on Monday evening to experience VBS 2015: Journey Off The Map (JOTM). The curriculum this year is wonderful and uses both Old and New Testament scripture. The decorations are fun and easy (& reminiscent of Amazon Outfitters, from a few years back!). We are testing a new format with this year's clinic and we think that it will serve to benefit EVERYONE involved with VBS in your church. It is our prayer and hope that this clinic can work to get all of our area churches encouraged, excited and geared up for the best journey of VBS yet!

Much prayer, thought and preparation has gone into providing this training event this year. But we really need YOUR help to make it a true success! You can help us in several ways. First and most importantly, please be remembering VBS in your prayer time. Pray for this associational clinic, but also for each church in our association and each individual Vacation Bible School. Secondly, please help us by spreading the word. Please forward this email, post invites on Facebook and other social media outlets, make announcements in your churches, ask your pastor to promote the clinic, add a reminder to your phone tree calls, personally invite everyone you know who works in VBS. The more people we train, the more people we will in turn reach for Christ! Please feel free to invite people you know in churches outside of our association. And thirdly, PLEASE come to the clinic on Monday! We have seen a steady decline in attendance over the last 3 years and we need to change this! Statistics show that for every person who attends these clinics and receive training, there is approximately 1.1 salvation decisions made during VBS! How awesome that we have an incredible opportunity to reach the lost for Christ! Let's each do our part!

The Elkin Baptist Associational VBS Clinic will be held this Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 6pm at Ronda First Baptist Church. There will be age group classes as well as classes for music, missions, directors and pastors. We will have some awesome themed refreshments and share decorating ideas. Help us to spread the word! Everyone is invited!!!

we did this and it was super easy! Jane & I whipped up 4 or 5 of these in less than an hour. You can use different size boxes, paint them or cover them with poster board (which is what we did) and use different patterns of duck tape. We also added numbers to the sides of ours. This is a really neat project for the preschool classrooms!
