Welcome to First Baptist Church. Our membership is a diverse collection of people who have lived here all their lives, some folks whose work brought them here, as well as retirees. Some are lifelong Baptists, others are transfers from a host of different Christian denominations. Some are new converts to Christianity and some are new to church life in general. We invite you to visit our church and look forward to getting to know you.

We are so grateful for the volunteers that make each Open Table Community Meal happen every third Thursday at FBC Elkin!

You are invited to join us this Thursday, June 18 from the hours of 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM for a free meal. This week on menu turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, veggies, roll, and dessert!

We are so grateful for your support! When Greta Hinson reached out to ask how the church could help and what our greatest need was, we shared that we go through a LOT of laundry detergent — often purchasing it weekly to keep up with the needs of our shelter.

The WMU (Mission,Hearts, and Hands) will meet Tuesday, June 2ND, 2026 at NOON. The luncheon will be at Cedarbrook Country Club. What is exciting about the month of June? Let us find out.
