Our Story

We are a small preschool, located in Elkhart. We have highly qualified teachers and multiple years of experience. Our teachers are passionate about their jobs and truly love working with children. We offer a fun and engaging program that includes 2, 3, or 4 day classes, a Christmas program, an Easter Hat Parade, fun field trips, and a graduation ceremony at the end of every year. Classes Offered: Ages 3-4 Years 3 day(Monday/Wednesday/Friday) 9:00AM-11:30AM Ages 4-5 Years(PreK) 4 day(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) 9:00AM-11:30AM Prices: Annual Price: Registration Fee: $40.00 Snack Fee: $40.00(M/W/F), $45.00(M/T/Th/F) Monthly Price: 3 day, 3-4 years, AM class: $100/month 4 day, PreK, AM class: $120/month TEACHER HIGHLIGHT: Cindi Covey Cindi is not only our preK teacher, but she is our director as well. Mrs. Covey has been teaching here since 1993. She has multiple years of experience prior to coming to Dunlap United Methodist Preschool, where she worked at a preschool/daycare. She taught for six years before becoming our director in 1999. On top of multiple years of experience, Cindi has raised four children of her own and has four grandchildren, with one on the way. Mrs. Covey handles everything that comes in and out of our preschool. She will be the face you see when you enroll your child, and she organizes all of the amazing programs and interactive field trips for our school. She is knowledgeable and has a passion and a gift for working with young minds. She knows the importance of play. Play and preschool go hand in hand. You will likely see Mrs. Covey's room filled with hands on activities and adorable crafts made by her students. Mrs. Covey teaches the PreK class, so if your child is a 4-5 year old preparing for kindergarten, she will be his/her teacher. TEACHER HIGHLIGHT: Brittany Kelly Brittany attended Indiana University South Bend, where she studied General Education. She has been a substitute teacher at Dunlap Preschool the last two years, and also a member of Dunlap's Preschool committee for three years. Brittany has also been a parent helper at Concord South Side the last three years. Mrs. Kelly has a five year old daughter who will be starting kindergarten in the fall, an eight year old daughter who will be going into third grade, and a 13 year old step-daughter who will be going into eighth grade. Mrs. Kelly is excitedly awaiting her first year of teaching the 3-4 year old class. She cannot wait to have fun, interactive, and hands on learning take place in her classroom!
