We are all led by something; personal desires, public influences, paternal tendencies, etc. Did you know that the same is true spiritually? Just as there is a definite malevolence that attempts to misguide us, there is also a definite benevolence that desires to guide us. When we Biblically identify the two, we can then decide which we will allow to lead us. In Psalm 5, David proclaims his decision to allow the LORD his God to guide him. The results are so evident and the benefit so grandly outweighs the cost, that David exclaims, "But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread Your protection over them, that all who love Your name may be filled with joy". I love deer; they are so majestic, graceful, and beautiful. But did you know that we can learn a lot from them? This Psalm begins by comparing the deeply thirsty deer to a soul thirsty believer. In Psalm 3, king David is writing about having perfect peace in spite of overwhelming circumstances in his life.
