TOMORROW! Hope to see you there! If you are looking for the worship livestream, it will be on Grace‘s page at 11 AM. It won’t be the usual quality of our sanctuary livestream, but hopefully you will be able to see and hear most of what’s going on. Remember: If you can’t join us at Lutherwald tomorrow, our friends at Grace have a 4 PM service in our chapel on Thursday.

Augustana is going to camp! Come worship with us at Camp Lutherwald this Sunday! It will be a wonderful chance to enjoy God's creation and fellowship with one another.

We begin with worship in the woods at 11 AM, followed by pulled pork sandwiches for lunch (bring a side or dessert to share if you can!), an optional tour of camp, and games for all ages. If it's rainy, there will be indoor options for worship and lunch.

Lutherwald is at 2065 W. State Road 120, Howe, IN. If you'd like to come but prefer to carpool, contact the church office and we'll set you up with someone else who's driving. If you have accessibility concerns: there is a gravel parking lot and a few steps down to the chapel. You can be driven most of the way down if needed.

Stay tuned for livestream info. We aren't sure if we'll be able to livestream from the woods.

This afternoon Pastor Emily and other local faith leaders joined with about 100 others from across our state to pray for an end to ICE detention at Miami Correctional Facility and to advocate for humane treatment of our immigrant neighbors, family, and friends through prayer and song. The group included bishops from three denominations and faithful people from many more. This gathering was the one year anniversary of when this vigil began. At that time the state of Indiana had just announced its intention to receive federal money to house detainees. Today nearly 800 ICE detainees are housed there. Widespread reports of deplorable conditions and undignified treatment urge us to examine what it means to live as faithful Christians in such a time as this. The vigils will continue monthly. For a chance to gather closer to home see information on the prayer vigil at St. Peter’s UCC in South Bend this Sunday 8/30 at 4 PM.
