Pulling back the curtain to reveal & uncover the truth. Interpreting scripture as God speaks to us through it. What humans see and understand vs what God sees and understands - Biblical prophecy, God Almighty through time ... and outside of time.

This Sunday we begin a series on the Bible book of Revelation. About her message "Pulling Back the Curtain on Revelation" pastor Maria notes, "Its strange images and symbols reveal the power of God and expose all other powers for what they are. There will also be some teaching about HOW to read Revelation. The good news is that heaven touches earth, what we see is not all there is, and God is forever."

Join us at our summer worship time of *10:00*, in person or on Zoom. For information on the livestream contact a church member or our page. Image: Apocalypse depicted in Christian Orthodox traditional fresco scenes in Osogovo Monastery, North Macedonia; from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypse

Sunnyside and Piedra Viva Mennonite Church are worshipping together this Sunday. The theme is "Flames of Love/Llamas de Amor." Pastor Maria writes, "At Pentecost the followers of Jesus experienced God with them in a new way - and that’s what began the church. They are transformed, they become bearers of the Spirit’s fire. How is the Spirit’s fire present in us? What warmth, love, and courage is it fanning?"

All are welcome to join us at *10:00*, in person or by Zoom. For information on the livestream contact a Sunnyside member. A carry-in meal will follow. Cover drawing: "Campfire," by Luma Hosler Byler.

This Sunday we conclude a series on Traveling Faith. The theme is "Traveling Faith: Sent People" Pastor Maria writes, "Both of the stories in our scriptures this week are stories of blessing: inclusion in God’s work, by God’s power, accompanied by God’s presence. What is this blessing, and what does it mean for our mission?"

Our theme on Sunday is "Traveling Faith: Food for the Journey." Pastor Osée notes that "Elijah is facing one of the worst times of his life: afraid of being killed by Jezebel, in the wilderness, hungry, angry, lonely and tired. God sends angels to touch and strengthen him, to provide and give him a reason to continue the journey. What God did yesterday with/for Elijah, God is able to do with/for us, today. We worship a God who cares and watches over us, ready to rescue us when we need God the most."

"Jesus, the worst dinner guest ever". Be careful what you wish for, as you get seated at the banquet, let the host request that you come closer to the head of the table.
Righteousness is not a boundary to hold, but a mark to shoot for.

Our theme on Sunday is "Traveling Faith: Leaving Home to Find Home." Nathan Graber-McCrae titles his sermon "Worst Dinner Guest Ever." He says, "We all know the Parable of the Prodigal Son. But do we remember where and when Jesus told it? Turns out, it matters."
