We’re excited to share two special additions to our 2026 Homecoming!

On Sunday, September 20, we’ll gather to celebrate the generations of people who have called Elk Park Christian Church home and, above all, the faithfulness of God through it all.

At 10:00 AM, we’ll welcome Daniel Silliman as one of our speakers. Daniel is a senior reporter and editor for The Roys Report and previously served as senior news editor for Christianity Today. He holds a doctorate in American studies and has taught U.S. history and humanities at Heidelberg University, Valparaiso University, and Milligan University.

Then at 11:00 AM, we’re excited to welcome back the Milligan Acapella Choir as part of our Homecoming worship service! We’re looking forward to a special time of worship together as we celebrate all that God has done.

Remembering Those Who Came Before Us ❤️

As we prepare for our annual Homecoming at Elk Park Christian Church, we want to take some time over the next several weeks to remember the people who have been part of this church through the generations.

Rather than trying to make a list—and inevitably leaving out someone who deserves to be remembered—we want you to help us tell the story.

Who do you remember?

Maybe it was a parent or grandparent who worshiped here for decades. A Sunday School teacher who taught you the Bible. A minister, elder, deacon, musician, youth leader, faithful servant, or simply someone whose familiar face made EPCC feel like home.

Share their name in the comments. If you have a picture, share that too. And if you’d like, tell us a little about them or share one of your favorite memories.

Some of these names may be familiar to many of us. Others may belong to generations long before our own. All of them are part of the story of a church that has stood in this community since 1909.

Most importantly, as we remember those who came before us, we remember the faithfulness of the God they served—the same God we serve today.

15 years. The same church family.

The first picture was taken in 2009, during the 100th anniversary year of Elk Park Christian Church. The second was taken in 2024.

Look closely and you’ll see familiar faces. Some are in both pictures. Some who stood with us in 2009 have since gone on. There are also new faces and another generation growing up in the life of this church.

A lot can change in 15 years—but the faithfulness of God has not.

Since 1909, generation after generation has called Elk Park Christian Church home. Each generation has had its own joys, struggles, changes, and challenges, but the same Gospel continues to be proclaimed and the same Lord continues to build His Church.

This year, we gather again.

Homecoming has been a part of the story of Elk Park Christian Church for generations.

These photos take us back to Homecoming 1950, when families gathered for “Dinner on the Ground”—sharing a meal, fellowship, and life together as a church family.

76 years later, we’re still gathering.

Join us for EPCC Homecoming 2026 on Sunday, September 20th, as we remember those who came before us, celebrate God’s faithfulness through the years, and look forward to what He will do through the generations to come.

For generations, Elk Park Christian Church has been a place where people have gathered to worship Jesus, hear the Word, build relationships, raise families, and serve our community.

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, we’re coming together again for our Annual Homecoming Services, and we want to invite all who have been part of our story—past, present, and future—to come home.

Whether you grew up at Elk Park Christian Church, attended years ago, worship with us today, or have never stepped through our doors before, there is a place for you here.

Our day will include:

9:00–10:00 AM — Coffee, Pastries & Fellowship
A relaxed time to reconnect, share stories, look back at where we’ve come from, and remember the faithfulness of God and those who have gone before us.

10:00 AM — A History of the Christian Churches
We’ll explore the history and heritage of the Christian Church and the movement that helped shape who we are today.

11:00 AM — Homecoming Worship Service
A special time of worship as we celebrate God’s faithfulness in the past and look toward what He is calling us to in the future. More details coming soon!

12:00 PM — Homecoming Meal
Because no Homecoming is complete without gathering around the table together!
