This evening the SSMA had the pleasure of providing security and traffic control for the Eucharistic Procession at Good Shepherd parish.

Everything went smoothly as we processed with our Lord followed by hundreds of devout Catholics, praying and singing in the streets of our community. It was a beautiful experience.

Much thanks to the men and their families who came out to help keep everyone safe tonight. Thanks to the Knights of Columbus for loaning us these vests. Thanks to our Clergy, without whom none of this would be possible. And thanks to everyone who came out to be a part of this event!

Today my daughter and I, along with lots of our men, members of our parish and hundreds of other faithful Catholics joined the in Sacramento. We gathered across the river, crossed the bridge and then processed with prayer and song through the streets, past the state capital, to the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.

Four groups are currently traveling across the country with the Holy Eucharist, blessing our nation and honoring our Lord. This is a historic event!

It was such a blessing to take part in this pilgrimage, even if only for a small distance. I wanted my daughter to see this. I wanted her to witness the streets full of devout Catholics following the Lord in the Holy Eucharist, praying and singing and showing the world the beauty of their faith and devotion.
