What a weekend at Winterfest! We had such a great time joining other youth, young adults, and advisors from the Lower Susquehanna and Upper Susquehanna Synods. We sang; we prayed; we discovered our uniqueness. We learned that in this vast universe we live in, it can be easy to feel insignificant. But we are God's. Just like our fingerprints, He has made us unique. We are loved! We are blessed!
"Cause on my best day, I'm a child of God
On my worst day, I'm a child of God
Oh, every day is a good day
And You're the reason why
I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed
Got this heartbeat in my chest
No, it doesn't matter about the rest
If I got You, Lord, I'm so blessed!"
We learned how we are marked by others' fingerprints and how we mark others with our fingerprints by how we act, what, we say, and what we do. But best of all, we are marked by God's fingerprints!
"I know it sounds impossible, but we're livin' in a miracle, yeah
The more you look, the more you know that we are not alone.
When you see love leave a mark
Healing broken hearts
You see chains fall apart
You see hope rise from the dark
It's so much more than ordinary
It's nothing less than extraordinary, no (no)
It's the fingerprints of God (oh-oh-oh)!"
Our fingerprints were made through friction before we were even born. Sometimes we encounter friction in our lives that impact us deeply. But with God, we know we can persevere! We can make a positive, Christ driven, authentic mark on our world!
"Let what we do in here, fill the streets out there.
Let us dance for You, let us dance for You.
All of my life and nothing less,
I offer to You my righteousness."
Now go make your mark!!
