For Pastor Eddie Owens, there is no greater privilege in life than proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and shepherding God's people. Whether preaching from the pulpit, counseling, discipling new believers, or equipping leaders for ministry, his deepest passion is to faithfully teach the Word of God and point people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. He believes that Scripture is sufficient, Christ is the hope of every person, and the local church is God's primary instrument for transforming lives and communities. His calling is not simply to preach sermons, but to love people well, make disciples, and help others grow into fully devoted followers of Christ.
Dr. Edward W. Owens serves as the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Christian Church in Duncannon, Pennsylvania. He retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant Major after more than twenty four years of distinguished service leading Marines around the world.
During his military career, Eddie served in numerous leadership positions, including assignments supporting the Pentagon, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and the Counterintelligence Field Activity (CIFA). His service included multiple combat operations and deployments throughout the Middle East and Asia, embassy duty in Costa Rica, and leadership of Marines during some of the military's most demanding assignments. Those experiences developed the leadership, resilience, and servant-hearted approach that continue to shape both his ministry and executive leadership today.
Since retiring from the Marine Corps in 2018, Eddie has served Lancaster Bible College in progressively expanding leadership roles to include the Presidential Cabinet and as the Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing Management. Today he provides strategic leadership for admissions, enrollment initiatives, and institutional growth.
In addition to executive leadership, Eddie is an experienced biblical counselor who has helped individuals, couples, veterans, and families navigate grief, trauma, marriage, leadership, and spiritual growth. His counseling ministry combines biblical truth with practical wisdom gained through decades of leadership and life experience.
Eddie earned his Doctor of Ministry degree and is currently a Ph.D. in Psychology Candidate at Liberty University. He remains committed to lifelong learning so he can better serve Christ, His Church, and future leaders.
When he is not preaching, teaching, or serving others, Eddie enjoys running, studying God's Word, reading, mentoring emerging leaders, and spending time with his wife, Lisa and their growing family.
His life's mission is to faithfully glorify God by preaching His Word without compromise, loving people as Christ loves them, developing leaders of integrity, and leaving every person and every organization stronger for the glory of Jesus Christ.
