We pray for wisdom, energy, and joy for our ministers, and that they would feel seen and appreciated at Minister Appreciation Night on June 12 at Ephrata Church of the Brethren.

National Hunger Awareness Day is observed annually on June 6 to raise awareness about food insecurity and encourage action to alleviate hunger.

According to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB) website, 1 in 8 central Pennsylvanians, including one in 6 children, are facing hunger every day. This year’s District Conference service project provides an opportunity to support CPFB in changing this reality.

We encourage each of our ANE congregations to collect non-perishable food donations between now and October and have your delegates bring those donations to the District Conference Business Session on Saturday, October 3rd.

We are inspired by the efforts of many ANE congregations to fight hunger in their own communities; please consider donating food items or giving a monetary donation for this collective service project to bless our neighbors throughout Central PA!

A hymn sing at the Bucher Meeting House in South Lebanon Township near Cornwall will celebrate the historic meeting house and cemetery with a public event this Sunday, May 31. Events, including building and cemetery tours, will begin at 2 p.m. with an old-fashioned hymn sing led by Bob Kettering at 3 p.m.

Minister Appreciation Night is coming up! 🎉

The District Ministry Commission is excited to host a FREE evening for all ANE District ministers and their families on Friday, June 12!

Join us at Ephrata Church of the Brethren from 5:00–7:00 PM for dinner, dessert, family fun, and fellowship.

The food options, provided by Marvin Foster, include: pulled pork, hot dogs, veggie burgers, mac & cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, fruit and veggie trays, and brownie sundaes.
