Did you know that the first Friday in September is National Food Bank Day? On this day, we’re reminded that every one of us can make a difference in the fight against hunger.

The ANE Program and Arrangements Committee has selected a service project for this year’s District Conference, and we need your help! Together, our ANE congregations will collect non-perishable food donations for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB).

CPFB works across 27 counties in central Pennsylvania, partnering with nearly 1,100 local agencies and programs to provide food and support to nearly 268,000 people each month. Every donation helps provide meals and hope to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

🛒 How you can help:
• Collect non-perishable food items at your congregation between now and October and bring your congregation’s donations with your delegates to the District Conference Business Session on Saturday, October 3. (Donations can be placed in the designated collection area in the lobby of the Brossman Center.)
• Monetary donations are also welcome. Checks may be made payable to ANE District with CPFB in the memo line, or use the provided QR code. You can also donate when registering for District Conference.

Whether you give a can of food, a box of cereal, or a monetary gift, every donation—big or small—makes a difference. Let’s come together as a district and help provide nourishment and relief to our neighbors.

We look forward to seeing many of you at District Conference this fall for worship, fellowship, and service!

Are you a Multi-Vocational Pastor within the Atlantic Northeast District of the Church of the Brethren? Are you attending the Atlantic Northeast District Conference on Saturday October 3?

If you answered yes to the two questions above, then you'll want to join our program during the lunch break for a listening session with Ryan Braught, Program Manager of the Part Time Pastor: Full Time Church program of the Church of the Brethren.

After grabbing your lunch, join us in the Tower Room to connect with other MVP's, share how our program might support you as an MVP, and learn about some ideas that the program is working on for the future.

The registration deadline is September 14 for the Disaster Relief Auction Service Project—don't miss this opportunity for your youth to let their light shine by serving at the 49th Annual Brethren Disaster Relief Auction, Inc.!

📅 Service Day: Saturday, September 26, 2026
🕙 Time: 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
📍 Lebanon Expo & Fairgrounds
80 Rocherty Rd., Lebanon, PA 17042

Senior high and mature junior high youth will spend the day serving in a variety of ways, including:
🍔 Assisting at food stands
🏃 Serving as auction runners
📦 Helping with event tear-down
🤝 Building friendships while making a real difference for disaster relief efforts

There is no cost to participate. Participants should bring a packed lunch or money to purchase food at the auction.
