If we have confidence in the enemy and his words, and our actions are based on that confidence, it is called fear. Both faith and fear come down to confidence. If we have confidence in God and His Word, and our actions are based on that confidence, it is called faith. Living in God's grace is to choose who we decide to place our confidence in.

The issue with the 10 Commandments was not that they were flawed, it was that they were not. The 10 Commandments required perfection of humanity and the only human who could live His entire life in fulfillment of the Law was Jesus. We are not perfect, but Jesus was perfect FOR us.

On the Mount of Transfiguration Jesus was praying when the glory of God was manifested. Jesus’ face changed. It became as bright as the sun. His clothes became as white as light. Moses and Elijah were translated through the annals of time and they were manifested in the New Testament. They too were bright and glorious. The glory of God was shining clearly through all three men. And it all started with a prayer.

Jesus was praying, while Peter, James and John were sleeping. One man’s prayer brought two men from the afterworld to this world. One man’s prayer called down the glory of God to the earth. One man’s prayer initiated the most powerful event the disciples ever saw.

Never underestimate the power of prayer!

It really bothers me when I hear preachers using fear as a way to establish or preach the Gospel!

Fear was the Old Testament, before Christ! And there was a reason for it! It was Gods intention to establish the Law through fear so that we realize what the sin of Adam (the old seed) has done to us!

When Christ came (the new seed) he established the Gospel of love and grace, and by fulfilling the law, established the Good News of the Kingdom! Unfortunately, too many preachers don’t see it that way and feel the only way to reach sinners and regulate believers is through fear! Which is fine, it wouldn’t be the first time the religious world refused to accept Jesus message because it wasn’t what they had envisioned it to be!

Just remember, Fear will only change a life temporarily, once the threat is gone, the behavior usually returns. Love changes lives eternally!! ♥️
