• it’s been awhile •

We attended Alliance District Retreat in May with the youth. They definitely made good memories and left some lasting impressions this year.

We had 8 seniors graduating this year 🥹 We’re going to miss them but excited to see what the Lord has in store for them!

We have some activities planned throughout the summer for the youth so stay posted to what’s happening! ☀️😎

So often when troubles and trials come, God is the last that I come too. I tend to go to those who will give me advice (actually taking it is a whole different conversation), those who can sympathize and pray with me or for the situations, and those who will be angry with me. Yet God is the only One who can actually change the situations. God is the One who gives me peace in the middle of the storms! God is the only One who can rescue and save me! God is the only One who knows exactly what is needed! God is the only One! Having close friends that we share these things with is not wrong, it’s part of why God gave us community, but they shouldn’t be the first we seek… God should be!

If your heart is troubled, give it to the only One who can truly do anything! Scripture tells us to cast our cares on Him who cares for us, may God be my first refuge I seek!
