Hurt in or by ministry?

Ministering to Ministers offers steady guidance, professional resources, and retreat space (Wounded Ministers Retreats) designed to help clergy move forward with clarity and dignity.

Though every situation is unique, our approach combines professional expertise with facilitated peer support in a setting that honors confidentiality and care.

As a participant of the Ministering to Ministers program, you’ll have access to:

▪Three complimentary counseling sessions with a licensed therapist

▪Legal consultation regarding employment or severance concerns

▪A four-day guided retreat with structured reflection and peer connection

▪Ongoing support as you discern next steps

Ministering to Ministers does not offer quick resolutions.

Instead, it gives space for thoughtful discernment and steady movement toward what comes next for you, your family, and vocation.

An encouraging article for Ruling Elders

Ruling elders in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) have the distinct joy and privilege of hearing faith stories from those seeking membership within the congregation and those being called to serve in leadership. Some of these faith journeys may include specific activities undertaken within the commu...

Is your church vulnerable to HVAC unit theft? Churches in multiple counties In the Presbytery have their AC units stolen this summer.

Please secure your church's HVAC units.

Investing now a small amount in fencing, cameras, motion lights, padlocks, etc. can save you thousands!

Ways to protect an outdoor AC unit from theft include:
• Install a heavy-duty steel security cage bolted to a concrete slab, (ensure that it is install in such a way that the unit can still be serviced) The bolts must be secured or inaccessible too.
• Padlock the electrical disconnect box and
make accessing the power line difficult so it cannot be cut easily.
• Set up motion-sensor lighting,
• Position a security camera with alerts to monitor the unit.
• Install an air conditioner alarm made specifically to prevent air conditioner thefts. These alarms will sound when an air conditioner is being disconnected or when it’s being moved, and the sound is usually enough to scare away a thief.
• Put a gate across the access road/parking lot and ensure that thieves cannot simply drive around the gate at some other place.
• Move the unit to a roof or other inaccessible location
• Utilize Bright Traceable Paint or Dye on the HVAC Unit (and take pictures of said paint).

To help catch thieves
you can also use compact GPS, cellular, or Bluetooth asset trackers (such as rugged industrial IoT tags or hidden magnetic GPS pucks or Apple AirTags or Tile Trackers) attached securely inside or onto a stationary HVAC condenser unit. There might ongoing fees for this type of device and/or battery replacement on a regular schedule.

We learned about Guns to Gardens during the GA. "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks..."

Presbyterian Peace Fellowship offers guidance on ways to help decrease gun violence in communities. One program is called Guns to Gardens. There is a structured way that guns can be surrendered, check by authorities, then permanently disabled before folks use a crucible furnace to reshape the metal into art or tools.
