As we rejoice in the Holy Fifty Days and the Resurrection of Christ, we share with faith the blessed departure of our beloved,
Evelyn Girgis Iskandar,�who reposed in the Lord on April 17, 2026.
To depart during this sacred season is a true blessing, as the Church proclaims Christ’s victory over death:�“O death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
We pray for comfort for her devoted husband, Gamal Iskandar; her son Alaa Iskandar, his wife Yvette, and their children Eliana, Elissa, and Elijah; and her son Emad Iskandar, his wife Monica, and their children Nicholas, Luke, and Catherine.
May the Lord grant them His heavenly peace.

With hope in the Resurrection, we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Tasoni Salwa’s sister, and Abouna Makarious’ sister in law, Sylvia (Sally) Khalil. A truly beautiful soul has left this world to be with our Heavenly Father.

Together we pray as a congregation and church family and lift up our prayers for her husband, Mahrous Khalil, her children, Samuel, Christian, and Sarah Assal, and all their families. May the Lord grant them comfort and peace.

Abouna and Tasoni and the family will accept condolences on Sunday, April 26th, from 2:30pm-4pm at St. Monica & St. Augustine Coptic Orthodox Church. 144 S Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

Thank you, Dr. Christine Agaibi! Your visit was so fruitful and beneficial! We had a lovely and impactful 3 days learning from world renowned expert in topics of resilience and “careselience” as well as taking our God given strengths and learning how to foster, nurture, and bolster them. Thank you for creating presentations targeting each age group in our community. We are thankful for you and your insights, and hope to grow in what you have taught. God bless your service!
