Christopher's which formed in 1978, was given permission by the Diocese of East Carolina to move the St. Gabriel's Church from Faison to Elizabethtown in January, 1982. It arrived on January 15, 1982 and was named St. Christopher's for an early eastern saint who was known for his aid to travelers. The little gray church houses an active, loving church family who welcomes all people of every persuasion to its worship and to its work. Services are held each Sunday beginning at 10:30am.

Few things make me happier than when my wife and my daughters feel like I’ve given them the perfect gift. But beyond any gift we could give each other this Christmas, we celebrate the greatest gift ever given: God’s perfect gift of perfect love, the birth of a baby that would bring hope for the whole world.
