Please keep Miss Ella, the Brown family, the Goldsboro District, the Cape Fear Annual Conference, and the ENCED in prayer as we prepare to celebrate the life of Dr. Andrew Dixon Brown, one who has loved, led, and lived with us for many years. This loss is profound on many levels and he is already deeply missed. 💙

Congratulations Brandon and Cylee from West Bladen High School!

Brandon is consistently polite and respectful, and his peers naturally look to him for guidance. He approaches every task with enthusiasm, takes initiative, and leads his fellow band members to the best of his ability. Brandon is also an active leader in Peer Group Connections and demonstrates strong character and leadership skills both in and out of the classroom, making him a true role model for those around him.

Cylee exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded student leader. Cylee is actively involved in student life through Peer Group Connections, Student Government, and her role as Treasurer of Beta Club, and she participates in both cheer and softball. Beyond school, she models and competes in pageants while also serving her community as a certified firefighter and active member of the Hickory Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service make her an outstanding choice for this honor.

Nominations for 2025 are being sought for a $750 scholarship offered by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association (NCCEAPA) through March 20, 2025. The scholarship is available to North Carolina residents pursuing a college degree (Associates and/or Bachelors) or a diploma program that results in a college degree (Associates and/or Bachelors) in business or a business-related field of study. Applicants must be enrolled to attend classes at a college during the 2025-2026 school year.

The scholarship is awarded annually to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, co-leaders in forming the NCCEAPA in 1973.

Qualified applicants interested in applying for this scholarship can obtain an application packet from the financial aid office at their local community college or local High School.
