UPDATE - Traffic Advisory: KY 251 (Shepherdsville Road) and KY 3005 (Ring Road) in Elizabethtown, A traffic shift for the next phase is expected to take place Saturday and Sunday

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (July 16, 2026) – Motorists are advised of the next traffic pattern shift as work continues at the intersection of KY 251 (Shepherdsville Road) and KY 3005 (Ring road). Depending on favorable weather conditions, construction of splitter curbing will restrict some movements in the roundabout circle. Traffic on Ring Road (both directions) will be allowed to go straight through or take their respective right onto Shepherdsville Road/North Miles Street but will not be allowed to continue around the circle to make an effective left onto Shepherdsville Road/North Miles Street. Traffic on Shepherdsville Road and North Miles Street will only be able to make a right at the intersection onto Ring Road and will not be able to continue straight across or make an effective left. Completion of this work phase is expected Sunday, and traffic will return to a full one-lane circle configuration until the intersection portion of the project is finished in a few weeks.
