Good Morning, Everyone!

Pastor Dylan here! As another school year begins, the congregation and I want you to know that we are fervently praying for each student, teacher, administrator, and staff member. We pray that God blesses you with a safe, successful, and rewarding school year.

To all of our students: as you begin this new chapter, we encourage you to work hard, study diligently, make lasting friendships, and enjoy the opportunities that this year brings. Remember that God has a purpose for your life, and He will be with you every step of the way.

If you're a parent or student who is interested in learning more about our youth ministry, we'd love to have you join us! Over the past year, God has truly blessed our youth group with incredible opportunities, including summer camp, lock-ins, pizza nights, ice cream socials, and many other fun activities. Even more exciting events are already being planned for the coming months!

Permission slips for upcoming activities will be sent home with our current youth members, and additional information will also be made available as the school year gets underway.

As we begin this new season together, let us all remember the encouraging words of the Apostle Paul:

Romans 8:31 (KJV)
"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

The answer is simple: Absolutely nothing!

What a fantastic week at Hillcrest Baptist Camp!

This past week, we had the privilege of serving at Hillcrest Baptist Camp in rural Hardin County, Illinois, and what an unforgettable week it was! Although we began the week facing an unexpected power outage, it certainly didn't stop God from working.

We are incredibly grateful for the flexibility and dedication of our staff, volunteers, counselors, and campers, who embraced the challenge with joyful hearts. During the outage, our campers, counselors, and guest speakers—Pastor Dylan Lanham (First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown), Pastor Chris McKenzie (First Baptist Church of Brookport), and Pastor Robby Shearon (Second Baptist Church of Hopkinsville)—relocated to First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown for worship services, meals, games, and fellowship. We wrapped up the day with a special trip for ice cream and chocolate at the Chocolate Factory near Golconda, creating memories that will not soon be forgotten.

Despite the unexpected circumstances, the Lord's work continued throughout the week. We were blessed to hear powerful testimonies, faithful biblical preaching, engaging classes, and to witness campers growing in their relationship with Christ. It was truly encouraging to see young people responding to God's Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts.

Serving the Lord at Hillcrest Baptist Camp this week has been a tremendous privilege and blessing. We thank God for all He accomplished and pray that the seeds planted this week will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

As camp comes to a close, we would love to invite you to worship with us this Sunday at First Baptist Church of Elizabethtown, located at the corner of Locust and Market Streets in Elizabethtown, Illinois.
