Due to the icy conditions we will be only having the 10:30AM service this morning with our Woodlands Kids Ministry (birth-kindergarten). If you can't make it in person you can join us online as we be live-streaming the 10:30AM service.

Due to the weather forecast tomorrow morning, Mount Calvary Church will only be having one service at 9:00 AM. We will be livestreaming the 9AM service. We will have kids ministry, but no Adult Bible Classes this week.

Ladies Bible Study participants: The handouts/packets for the first couple of lessons for the Ladies Bible Study will be available at the Welcome Desk this week. Be sure to pick up a copy so you can be ready to jump right into James next week (Tuesday starts 1/14, Thursday starts 1/16).

As we spend the year with the call to Be Wise through our Bible Study, we also know we are called to be doers of the Word and not just hearers. Today our Ladies AM Bible Study had our first "Do Week" of the year and included lots of opportunities to serve our church. Ladies acted as encouragers, pumpkin carvers, bag stuffers, and egg emptiers among other helpful tasks to prepare for the Great Pumpkin Bash on Sunday afternoon.

Ladies, we would love to have you join us for Coffee & Chaos this morning (Wednesday) from 9:30-11 AM at the Ministry Center (45 Veterans Dr.) come get a cup of coffee or tea, fellowship with other women, and give your kids a chance to play on this rainy day.

From my Bible Study preparation today, I read Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 and saw that God’s gift to me and each of us is to be joyful and do good. But then I read the following: “All joys we have here on earth are just a taste of what is coming in heaven.” (Courtney Joseph)

Ladies, Joy on earth is a gift of God, and only a small taste of what is to come. Let that bring you hope this week. May you each find the gift of joy this week and imagine what is to come.
