Dear Parents and Families,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share an important update regarding Kids Time during our worship services.
Over the past several months, we have been actively working to recruit additional volunteers so that we can continue offering Kids Time in the way we’d all hope for. At this time, we have not been able to secure the number of volunteers needed to sustain our 3 separate class current structure. Because of this, we have made the decision to temporarily adjust our Kids Time format.
Beginning February 1st, Kids Time will include two classes:
Kindergarten–1st Grade
Grades 2–5
This change allows us to continue providing a safe, meaningful, and consistent Kids Time experience while also caring well for our volunteers and leaders.
In addition, on 5th Sundays (months that include a fifth Sunday), we will have no Kids Time, and children in grades K–5 will remain in the worship service. On those Sundays, we want to be especially intentional about living into our mission of:
Every generation growing together as Christ’s hands and feet in our world.
We see these Sundays as a valuable opportunity for children to worship alongside their families, observe faith lived out in community, and grow in their understanding of what it means to be part of the larger church body. Pastor Adam, Bobby, and others are working to be intentional with those Sundays. Be on the lookout for more information closer to March 29th.
Please know that these changes are temporary, and we will continue praying, planning, and working toward expanding Kids Time again as volunteer availability allows.
Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued partnership as we seek to care well for your children and for our church family as a whole. If you have any questions or would like to talk more about these changes, I would be happy to connect with you.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Matt
