The first post (Women Not To Teach In The Church) was written to show precisely how one can approach a doctrine or issue of "Christian living" with their presuppositions (yes...unfortunately we ALL have them...and usually..steeped in error!)...and their "agenda"...and thus mishandle/misinterpret scriptures to try and support that agenda. THIS is so common in Christians today that it is sad....and sooo irreverent! Satan is doing a bang-up job of sowing misinformation/propaganda...and MOST of it comes from pulpits & teachers who are NOT studiers of the Word, but parrots for other men/books/SATAN ! He has one job...TO CHANGE THE WORD OF GOD! Why...you ask? Simple...because "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God"...thus if he changes that it will lead us away...not to..God! See what he did with Eve in the garden...
..Gen 3:1-13 KJV 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Yes...the serpent beguiles us, and we partake...of this sin & that sin...even though God has left us explicit instructions. But...we have more important things to do than pour ourselves into intent study of His Word ??? There is NOTHING so important that we should neglect His intentional directions to us...
..2Ti 2:14-15 KJV 14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
We are to be diligent workers...that we may rightly divide the Word of truth...and thus..not be led astray by every wind of (false) doctrine that flows unchecked from the pulpit. What do you think happened to the Galatians (read chapter 1)...simple...they had not the integrity of the Bereans!

2Ti 3:16-17 KJV 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
..2Ti 2:19 KJV Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
God knows who His people are, and this is manifested in that they hate sin/iniquity! Does it still persist in trying to lure us from His grace...YES...but...
..1Jn 2:1-6 KJV 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
..as verse 1 says..we have an Advocate (Jesus) with the Father...HALLELUJAH !!! Then verse 3-6 tells us how we KNOW that we are indeed His children...we will love & do His Commandments...this is how we know He is in us, for we were this...
..Gen 6:5 KJV And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
THAT .... was the state of You & I before we were quickened (made alive) by His grace...and thus followed Him! This was the state of ALL after the fall. Spiritually dead! What do dead men do??? NOTHING !!! Just ask Lazarus...he could do nothing..for he was dead! Until Jesus spoke life into him...and THEN he came forth to Jesus. We must be quickened from that Gen. 6:5 state before we can do ANYTHING spiritually good...see...
Jer. 13:23 & Romans 3:9-12 .....
..John 6:37-40, 44-45, 63-65 ...John 10:11-15 & 10:26-30 ... John 17:6, 9, 11-12, 15-17, 20, 24
Ephesians 1:4-14, 2:1-13 etc...etc...
The human makes no spiritually profitable choice (like "coming to Christ") until/unless he is "quickened" unto life first (Born Again)...for ALL his thoughts are what? Reread Gen. 6:5...
But...just like Lazarus, as soon as he is quickened unto spiritual life (from spiritual death)...he comes to & follows Christ. Thus all of those John 6 & John 17 verses start to harmonize beautifully! He does it ALL....we are just the blessed recipients! We are Lazarus...come to life!
