UPDATE: "They can’t find any leukemia” Bristol, Va family shares powerful progress in Jase’s fight ❤

An emotional update from Jase’s family is bringing hope and relief to many following his journey.

Just weeks after being diagnosed with leukemia on April 25—when doctors found the disease in 92% of his spinal fluid and 70% of his blood and bone marrow, the family now says doctors can no longer detect any leukemia in his body.

After about two and a half weeks at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and just over a week on medication, recent tests, including a bone marrow exam, show no trace of the disease.

While this marks a major milestone, the family says Jase is not yet officially in remission. Doctors will need to repeat testing, including another spinal tap in the coming weeks, to confirm those results.

Jase will also continue treatment, including medication over the next 28 days and chemotherapy for up to two years, due to a higher risk of recurrence since the leukemia was present in his spinal fluid....a rare and closely monitored condition.

The family is thanking the community for an outpouring of support, saying the prayers, messages, and encouragement have meant everything during this time.
