Rahab was a harlot living in Jericho. Her occupation isn't what’s important about her though. It was her faith and trust in a God she was not very familiar with yet. Rahab took a risk to hide some Israelite spies. She left that life in Jericho behind and let faith lead her to a new life of belief in the one true God. The account of Rahab shows that redemption is available to everyone at any time. There is no need to remain trapped in the past.You can find her mentioned in Joshua 2 and Joshua 6: 22-25. She is also remembered in Mathew 1:5, Hebrews 11: 31 and James 2: 25. Rahab was an ancestor of Jesus.
