What a reminder for today: God speaks light into darkness. The same God who spoke at creation is still bringing hope, direction, peace, and new beginnings into our lives.

TODAY’S THE DAY. ❤️

The day you stop saying, “Maybe next Sunday.”
The day you walk through the doors.
The day you find a seat—and maybe find a family.
The day God’s Word speaks right into the place you’ve been struggling.
The day you realize you don’t have to carry everything alone.

Maybe today is the day you come back to church.
Maybe it’s the day you bring your family.
Maybe it’s the day you meet people who will become your people.
Maybe it’s the day you take one step closer to Jesus.

Today could change everything.

There is a kind of tired that sleep can’t fix. A tired heart. A heavy mind. A soul that has been carrying too much for too long.

And Jesus says, “Come to me.” ❤️

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come to Him. You don’t have to get yourself together first. Bring the worry. Bring the questions. Bring the hurt. Bring the weariness.

Come as you are. There is rest in Jesus.

Church was never meant to be a place where we simply sit beside one another on Sundays. It’s a family where we pray for one another, encourage one another, celebrate together, grieve together, serve together, and sometimes help carry what has simply become too heavy to carry alone.

At Calvary, we want to be that kind of community—real people walking through real life together, with our eyes fixed on a real Savior.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come. You don’t have to pretend everything is fine. There’s room for you here.

Today, we pray. 🙏🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, there are families who still carry the weight of September 11, communities forever changed, and sacrifices we will never forget.

Today, we pray for those who lost someone they loved. We pray for the first responders, service members, and countless others whose lives were forever shaped by that day. We pray for our leaders, our communities, and for our nation.

And perhaps especially today, we pray that God would draw our hearts back to Him and teach us again to love our neighbors, serve one another, and live as people of faith, compassion, and hope.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” — Psalm 33:12 ESV

Lord, have mercy on us. Give us wisdom. Bring comfort where grief remains. Draw us together, and turn our hearts toward You. ❤️🇺🇸
