Looking ahead to next week, we enter Holy Week—the highest holy days in the Christian calendar.
On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem with the message: “How will you greet the Messiah?”
On Maundy Thursday, we reflect on the unity we have through Christ—unity with God and with one another—made visible through one of our most sacred gifts: Holy Communion.
On Good Friday, we will look through the lens of Isaiah 53, where we see the suffering servant and the atonement accomplished through the cross of Christ—the place where reconciliation is made and where we are called to die to ourselves.
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection—the vindication of Christ—and the promise that those who lay down their lives in Him will be raised and vindicated by God.
“We shall receive the hope of our faith—the salvation of our souls.”
