Peter Blunk who also gave a good part of the lumber to build it with. Mr Blunk traded 5 acres of his own land, which lay back from the road, to a James W. and Melinda Shields for one and a half or two acres along what is now State Road 11. At that time it was called the Old Elizabeth Ridge Road. The church was built by mainly volunteer workers. A group of Disciples of Christ met in the old No. 4 s

chool on Geswein Road before the church was built in 1890. There were no church services and the church was closed in 1917 and 1918. As of 1990 we had 51 ACTIVE members. Some of Christian ministers that have served the church since 1920 are William Rankin, Jesse Kelly, Harley Hanover, George Emery, E.V. Rodgers, David Lamb, Homer Swindall, Larry Martin, Charles Smith and several student ministers.
