Our first ever yard sale will be happening right here, at the Benjamin House, 102 Meads Pool Road, Elizabeth City! On Saturday, September 19 we will have some amazing things including framed pictures, furniture, books, clothes, shoes, games, electronics, DVDs, golf clubs, and about a gazillion brand new Hallmark Christmas ornaments, all of them so cute and fun! (So, so many Christmas items!)

Come out and do some yard saling and support a great cause! All of the proceeds will go towards the Benjamin House activity fund, so that our residents can attend special trips and activities in and around the community.

Also, we can now get payments through Venmo, so if you are short on actual cash, there's another option to pay!

Can't wait to see you there! (Rain date: September 26)

This came up in my sister in law, Lisa Bulliner Godwin’s, memories that she posted 4 years ago, 2 days after my husband passed away. It’s such a beautiful tribute to him, that I wanted to share it!♥️
If this isn’t pure joy, I’m not sure what is. Our Bigs left this earth Wednesday and will forever be looking over us with Bert and Honey. He and Parke Parke were married 63 years providing our family an amazing example of faith, love, commitment and laughter. I can hear his chuckle now and smile when I think about his clever made up games, “stump” and “bore a hole”, that he played over and over with Bishop and Ann Parke. He was our legal go to, a calm presence and exuded immeasurable wisdom. He loved my girls as if they were his own, a grandfather figure to them and I am so grateful for all the life lessons he taught. Our love does not vanish because Bigs is no longer here. It is deep inside us. We will continue to share stories and laughter. We will surround Parke Parke and hug a little tighter as we are reminded just how precious this life on earth is. We love you Bigs. Always and forever. xoxo

When Benjamin House first opened in 2006, we quickly realized what a blessing Dawn Rountree from Woodville Baptist Church would be to our residents and staff. For many years, she has faithfully served as one of our Chapel Leaders, sharing her time, kindness, and musical talent.
Dawn plays the piano beautifully, and our residents always look forward to gathering around the piano to sing their favorite praise and worship songs together. 🎶🎼 We are so grateful for the joy she brings to Benjamin House.♥️
