Please share our event with COB pastors you know! Or share on your page. Pre-registration ends June 12 and the price at the door is higher another $40. Also don’t forget we have a first-timer fee for those who have never attended a COBMA conference.
There is a link for the flyer and registration form for Spanish and Kreyol registrants. Remember we do have a hybrid option and as of last week had about 7 people taking advantage this offering. We would love to have a few more people join us in person or online.

Looking forward to having some meaningful discussions at the COB Ministers’ Association’s Pre-conference Event with Sheila Wise Rowe and opportunity to be in small groups. I have been thinking about the books I have read in my book and study groups over the last 3 years. These are just two of the books we have discussed. I listened to some others and read articles. Anyone else have some informative books on racism they would recommend to our group as we prepare to spend time together?
Don’t forget you can listen to (Audible) and/or buy Sheila’s books (Brethren Press).

Since 1973, the COBMA Committee has been working hard at bringing meaningful and challenging topics as well as speakers to Annual Conference. The passion and creativity of this committee never ceases to amaze me! Each member prayerfully delves into topics of interest that we have received from our evaluation recommendations as well as exploring what areas of our continuing education requirements have been covered in recent years. Even though each member of the committee chooses 1-2 possible ideas based on the year they will be chair of the committee, the topics chosen are vetted by the whole committee. We discuss and allow the Holy Spirit to guide the decision of the group for each event.
We encourage you to register and attend the 2023 event with Sheila Wise Rowe either in person or hybrid. The image in this post is her most recent book. However, her focus for our event will be her book Healing Racial Trauma: The Road to Resilience. Please read or listen to the book before you arrive on July 3. We are looking forward to our time together and hope you are, too!
