We are honored to present the 2025 HCA Distinguished Alumni Award to Gil Duran, a proud member of the Class of 2020. Gil joined HCA in 2017 as a sophomore and quickly became an integral part of our school community.

Since graduating, Gil has remained deeply connected to HCA, consistently giving back through both his time and leadership. In addition to successfully operating his own business, Hawthorne Services, Gil has served as a mentor to numerous young men within our school. His commitment to spiritual growth and discipleship is evident, often standing alongside these students in the baptismal as they publicly profess their faith in Christ.

Gil Duran truly exemplifies the heart and character of an HCA Lion. His dedication to service, leadership, and faith continues to make a lasting impact on our community. We are proud to recognize Gil for his outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment to the values of HCA.

Recipients are recognized for making significant contributions within their professions, communities, churches, and families. Harvest Christian Academy is delighted to welcome back alumna Bethany Paris, Class of 2020, as she joins our faculty to teach third grade! Bethany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling with cognates in Crisis and Leadership.

Thank you to Jake Noble, class of 2019, for coming to be a guest Chapel speaker this semester! 🦁 The theme for upper school chapel this year is “Influence.” Jake shared with our students about who has influenced him (shout out to his dad, Mr. David Noble!)

He shared how he did not realize the sacrifice his parents made to send him to HCA while he was a student, but now he does and he shared how thankful his HCA experience shaped him to be the man he is today.

(He also wanted to apologize to Mrs. Peterson for always being such a goof!)

HCA Alumni are invited to join us for the annual Career Fair on Wednesday, February 12th from 8:00-11:00am. This event is dedicated to help our aspiring students to develop a vision and engage in dialogue with current professionals to encourage future thinking.

SCHEDULE:
8:00-8:30 AM: Setup, coffee & snacks
8:30-10:00 AM: Career Fair
10:00-11:00 AM: Networking Brunch (Optional)

*The networking brunch is optional to all Career Fair professionals. We invite you to stay and connect with other professionals in the area who are connected to HCA. We will also offer tours of HCA for those who are interested in seeing our updated spaces.

This special offer is designed to honor alumni who choose to continue the tradition of excellence by enrolling their children at HCA (preschool-grade 12).

What is the Legacy Discount?

The Legacy Discount provides a 25% reduction on the overall yearly tuition for each child of HCA alumni enrolled at our academy. This is our way of expressing gratitude for your loyalty and support, and to make the HCA experience more accessible for your family.
