📣 We have some exciting news to share! We are starting a BRAND NEW ministry here at St John’s!

Brunch & Bibles for Girls (Ages 10–18 recommended)💒✝️

Every girl deserves a safe place to belong — a place where she feels heard, encouraged, and reminded of who she is in Christ. 💕

That’s why we’re excited to launch Brunch & Bibles, a monthly gathering filled with food, friendship, Scripture, and meaningful conversation. 🥞☕📚

Each month, girls will explore topics like:
✨ Identity
✨ Courage
✨ Confidence
✨ Prayer
✨ God’s Love

Through devotionals, guided discussions, creative activities, and connection with others, girls will have the opportunity to grow both spiritually and emotionally in a gentle, welcoming environment. 🌿

Our hope is that every girl who attends leaves knowing she is deeply loved by God and never alone. 💛

All girls in our community are welcome! We hope to be a place where they can belong and grow.

Vacation Bible School is just ONE week away, and we need YOUR help!

We’re collecting snacks to keep our kids happy, healthy, and energized as they learn, worship, and praise Jesus all week long. 🙌

🥬 Veggie Straws
🐘 Animal Crackers
🧀 Cheese Cubes
🧃 Juice Boxes

We have at least 60 children that need to be fed!

A Special Prayer for FATHERS on this 2026 Father’s Day
St. John’s Lutheran Church – Elgin, IL
Dear Father in heaven, our prayer today is one of thanksgiving for the blessings of Christian families and the leadership of Christian fathers. Help fathers to look to You for direction in their lives. In You alone, let them find a model for love and strength, for wisdom and faithfulness. May fathers always recognize Your hand of blessing in their day-to-day lives. Amen.

June 21, 2026 - Happy Father's Day

In Pastor Schalk's sermon today he talked Psalm 100 and being JOYFUL in our faith and daily lives - he challenged each of us to find ways this week be spread that JOY we have in JESUES to others.

Please continue to be persistent in your prayers to God for healing for Pastor Aaron's medical needs, for all that have requested prayers at St. John's, for our country and our world.

We’ve had an amazing year in children’s church! We worshipped, we played and we made long lasting friendships.

Join us for the last children’s church of the season this Sunday, June 14 at 9 am.

We look forward to starting up again in the early fall!
