https://tithe.ly/give?c=1852659 During this time, Wesley Luke began to build the church-building that exists today. He started the construction with very little money and did most of the work himself. Originally only t

he sanctuary of the church was built (the Fellowship Hall and Baptistery were added after Wesley and Judith Luke were wed in 1996)

During the beginning stages of the construction, Pastor Luke ran out of money to buy materials. At that point a man pulled up in an old truck. He asked Pastor Luke what he was building, Pastor Luke told him his plans for a Holiness Church, but that he would have to pause to raise more money to finish the project. The man went to his old Datsun truck, pulled out some money, and handed it to Pastor Luke. Wesley thanked him and told the kind man to come see him when the church is finished, He said, “Oh, I'll be seeing you. I'll be back,” but Wesley has never seen him or the truck again. There were numerous blessings like this while the church was being built; to God be the glory. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unaware.

Thank you so much for all of those who came to our church work day today! Your tireless work was more appreciated than you know.

There is something so beautiful about seeing our members come together to work, the older ones patiently letting the younger ones help, the children who are eager to get in there to do a job, and the fellowship as we ate lunch together. That is what it means to be part of a church and we are so thankful for each and every one of you.

Our In-House Singing has become one of our favorite services at ECHC! It's a service that only happens in the months that have 5 Sundays. From our youth making us smile with their song, to our brave little ones that step out to sing, to the adults who step out of their comfort zone or sing a song written by a loved one, the songs together weave their own sermon. Each lyric points back to Jesus and shares the gospel. It isn't easy to step on a stage and sing in front of the entire church. We are so proud of you guys and loved to hear your songs! We can’t wait for the next one!

We are so excited for Homecoming 2026! We would love to personally invite you to come. It doesn't matter if you are a past member, currently go to a different church, or have never even been to ECHC. You will always be family!

Homecoming will be on September 13th. Service will begin at 10:30 AM, there will be no Sunday School. We have the privilege of having Mary & Randall Brickey as our guest speakers. Come join us for a good Word, good fellowship, and good food.
