Zion Lutheran Church is the oldest Lutheran church in Elgin west of the Fox River. Founded in 1882 by immigrants, today it is a lively congregation committed to serving in the community, connecting to our neighbors, and joining in as we continue the ministry of Jesus - in our daily lives individually and together as a congregation. This is a friendly, connected and creative congregation with a progressive mindset where ALL are welcome and invited to join us in God's work.

Clergy from Elgin and some surrounding communities gathered at the Kane County Judicial Center to stand in support of immigrant families and against ICE using people come to court appointments to detain people. Love your neighbor - no exceptions!

Picnic is on - we have a shelter house and the rain is supposed to taper off. We are still on for Wing Park.

Notice: It is a rainy morning but supposed to taper off later in the morning. We have a shelter at Wing Park so the tables where we eat and worship are covered. We have decide that it is still best to stick with the place - we'll be worshiping at Wing Park at 10:45 and the picnic will begin at 11:30 as planned. We have some good food and fun in store - see you at the park!

There is NO Livestream worship on August 30th. We are at Wing Park and the only piece of equipment we can use to stream from a remote site is not available to stream with. We will be back on line next week at 10:45 AM.
