We were honored to host Shaykh Dr. Salah Abu al-Hajj — one of the leading Hanafi scholars of our time and Dean of the Faculty of Hanafi Jurisprudence at the World Islamic Sciences & Education University (WISE) in Amman, Jordan 🇯🇴.
During his recent visit to the U.S., Shaykh Salah made a special visit at IIE to meet our beloved founder, Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Abdullah Saleem sahib (حفظه الله).

Despite his own lofty status in the academic and scholarly circles of the Arab world, Dr. Salah showed immense humility and reverence for Hadhrat Maulana Saleem Sahib, acknowledging his decades of service to Deen and the preservation of sacred tradition in the West.

Shaykh also gifted a set of his acclaimed works in Hanafi fiqh, a gesture that speaks volumes about the mutual respect between true carriers of ‘ilm.
Moments like these remind us how the love of 'ilm connects East and West, Jordan and Chicago. May Allah preserve and elevate our scholars and unite us in khayr. 🤲📚

زارَ الدكتور صلاح أبو الحاج، عميد الفقه الحنفي بجامعة العلوم الإسلامية العالمية في عمّان، معهد التعليم الإسلامي في إلينوي، والتقى بحضرة مولانا محمد عبد الله سليم حفظه الله، مؤسس المعهد وأحد كبار علماء أمريكا الشمالية، والمشهود له بخدمة الدين وتعليم العلم لأجيالٍ من الحفّاظ والعلماء. وقد أبدى فضيلة الدكتور تقديره العميق لما قدّمه الشيخ من جهودٍ عظيمة، ونسأل الله أن يحفظ علماءنا ويبارك في أعمارهم وأعمالهم.

The 2025 Graduation Ceremony was more than just a milestone — it was a testament to the legacy of our beloved founder, Maulana Mohammed Abdullah Saleem (ḥafiẓahullāh), whose vision has shaped generations of ḥuffāẓ, ʿulamāʾ, and community leaders. A direct student of Shaykh al-Islām Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani, Hadhrat Maulana Abdullah Saleem sahib carries a sanad ʿālī in ḥadīth with only 21 links between him and Imam Bukhāri, a distinction rarely found today.

This year's ceremony was a powerful reminder of what that sanad truly represents. It was a moment to reflect on decades of effort, sacrifice, and service that have carried IIE to where it stands today: producing huffāz, 'ulamā', and leaders across the United States.

We congratulate all the graduates of 2025 - from the Hifz program and the 'Ālimiyyah program - and we extend heartfelt gratitude to every teacher, parent, volunteer, and supporter who made this event possible.

The year came to a beautiful close - and may Allāh allow its fruits to grow for generations to come.

The Institute of Islamic Education invites you to its Annual Graduation Ceremony, taking place on July 12th.

This auspicious event marks the completion of years of dedication by our students in the ʿĀlim, Ḥifẓ, and High School programs.
Scholars from across the country will be in attendance for this meaningful gathering.

Keynote addresses by:

• Maulana Abdul-Hakīm Dickinson – Resident Scholar in Knoxville, TN

The Bukhārī Khatam will be led by Hadhrat Maulana Mohammed Abdullah Saleem sahib, who continues to uphold the legacy of ḥadīth at the heart of our institution.

We are excited to announce a remarkable occasion—one of our beloved students, Hafidh Abdul Kareem Gonzalez, will be reciting the entire Qur’an from cover to cover by memory in one-sitting! This is truly an awe-inspiring achievement, showcasing not only his dedication to the Qur’an but also his strength and endurance.

What makes his journey even more extraordinary is his Mexican heritage—born to a mother who embraced Islam when he was just 4 years old Subhanllah!

We warmly invite the entire community to join us here at the Institute of Islamic Education Main Masjid to witness this blessed event live. The recitation will conclude with a heartfelt dua!

We ask Allah ta’aala to protect Hafidh Abdul Kareem and his family, grant success in this life and the Hereafter, and make his devotion a source of inspiration for all our youth and future huffaz. Ameen! 🤲
