As of February 24, 2025, Cornerstone Church is permanently closed for worship.

Though our doors may close, the love, teachings, and impact of Cornerstone will continue to live on in the lives of those we have touched. We give thanks to God for His guidance and for the countless individuals who have been part of this community—pastors, leaders, members, and friends. May we carry forward the mission of Christ wherever we go; the church is not a building—it is the people.

Our faith community has moved to Journey of Hope UMC in Elgin, and we encourage you to join us there!

Sunday, February 9 is SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY!

It's the "boys" vs. the "girls"—bring your change and see which kettle wins the weight challenge, and which kettle wins the total amount challenge (cash and checks are accepted, as well as coins).

The competition is always fierce, but in the end, Food for Greater Elgin will be the winner.

Food for Greater Elgin serves more than 2,665 households in Elgin, South Elgin, East Dundee and West Dundee, equating to over 23,475 individuals of whom approximately 34% are children and 20% are elderly. All shoppers can receive meat, fresh produce, dairy, deli, and shelf-stable items during their visits to Food for Greater Elgin.

Volunteer at the Soup Kettle TOMORROW!

It's chili night!

Cornerstone hosts the Soup Kettle at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on the first Friday of every month. (Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 357 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120.) We provide the meal and volunteers to serve; we’d love to have you join us, as we share God’s love with about 60 members of our community. These free home-cooked meals are available to anyone in need, no questions asked.
