I want to share this word. I pray it edifies🙏🏼✝️🕊️✨:
Flattery’s agenda is to manipulate our minds so that we convince ourselves that we are not seeing what we actually see.
Flattery bets that you are puffed up with knowledge and self so that you do not see what it is trying to accomplish.
That is why we must see and discern by the power of the Holy spirit living in us and not out of our own intellect.
Flattery is heavily used as a tool by the enemy. Deception is real. Be led by the spirit not by the words of mere people.
Flattery comes in many forms. Laughter, gifts, hugs, compliments, inclusivity, high praise, favors, going the extra mile. All these things are also a blessing and edifying. But in these last days we must discern the motive behind it. Not to be cynical and fearful, but out of our love for truth.
This deception is the spirit of the age. RESIST!
Discernment is a gift of the Holy Spirit to protect. It is HIM the Lord protecting, not us. Stay in communion with him all day. Doesn’t matter what you’re doing. Don’t let weird “Christian” and pious philosophies stop you from communion. You’re not in the right place, right mind, haven’t done well enough, or that your time in the Lord is not sacred enough or holy enough.
Jesus is HUMBLE. And he has an all about you and yours. Let him grow your discernment. Let Him lead you to pray for your enemies. Pray for those around you that flatter you but have concealed aggression and agendas toward you at the same time. God can turn even the most evil and vile thing around to work out for your good so that he is glorified and can use it all for his beautiful purposes.
With the gift of discernment comes also the gift of love and prayer for what you discern.
Stay in communion.
Pray for your enemies. I know it’s hard…. But the reward is far greater. Both for you and the person that was deceived into the lie against you.
Search for the heart of God in the scriptures. Repent and be filled with his heart and his word alone.

““His army will take over the Temple fortress, pollute the sanctuary, put a stop to the daily sacrifices, and set up the sacrilegious object that causes desecration. He will flatter and win over those who have violated the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will resist him.”
Daniel 11:31-32 NLT
“So she seduced him with her pretty speech and enticed him with her flattery.”
Proverbs 7:21 NLT
“To flatter friends is to lay a trap for their feet.”
Proverbs 29:5 NLT
“A lying tongue hates its victims, and flattering words cause ruin.”
Proverbs 26:28 NLT
“You will destroy those who tell lies. The Lord detests murderers and deceivers. Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow. My enemies cannot speak a truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with flattery.”
Psalms 5:6-9 NLT
“For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money! As for human praise, we have never sought it from you or anyone else.”
1 Thessalonians 2:4-6 NLT
“You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.”
Colossians 2:20-23 NLT
“Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts. May the Lord cut off their flattering lips and silence their boastful tongues. They say, “We will lie to our hearts’ content. Our lips are our own—who can stop us?” The Lord replies, “I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do.” The Lord’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over. Therefore, Lord, we know you will protect the oppressed, preserving them forever from this lying generation, even though the wicked strut about, and evil is praised throughout the land.”
Psalms 12:2-8 NLT
