The Alabama State Association of Free Will Baptists is comprised of over 10,000 members in approximately 100 churches working together for the cause of Christ. The AL State Association is a member of the National Association of FWBs. The AL State is led by a nine member Executive Committee elected by the State Association at its annual meeting. The Committee employs an Executive Director of State

Ministries who promotes, organizes, and facilitates the work of the State. The ministries of the State Association include the FWB Children's Home in Eldridge, AL; starting new churches in Alabama; supporting mission efforts around the world thru a support plan called Alabama Acts 1:8; providing programs for women (Alabama Women Active for Christ), men (Master's Men), and youth (CTS Competition).

Bro. Bud Bivens, founder of Rainbow Ministries and partner with Alabama Acts 1:8 went to be with the Lord on August 3rd after an extended battle with cancer. The information of his passing was delayed at the request of the family.

Bud and his beloved wife, Ruth, had gained the hearts of Alabama FWB’s, because they served the Lord with all their hearts. Please pray for John and Paulina and the rest of the family as they mourn his death.

Please announce and encourage your leaders to attend the Ministry Excellence Training on Saturday (August 29) at New Liberty FWB from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Shiloh Hackett will be our guest speaker speaking three times on “First Impression Ministry.
Other sessions will include “Evangelistic Environment “ with Mike Cox and “Deacon Leadership “ with Danny Williams.

Update on Brother Mike Crews from his daughter-in-law:
L2 back fracture, sternum fracture, and two rib fractures. He is in ICU at Huntsville Hospital right now. He’s still stable. Just a lot going on.
The internal bleeding has not stopped. It’s nothing that “needs” to be fixed with surgery at the moment. It’s slowing down. So still waiting on that.

Please be in prayer for Bro. Mike Crews, pastor at First FWB Florence. He was in an accident today and sustained a fractured sternum. He also has internal bleeding and has been transferred to Huntsville.

Be in prayer for the Dylan Brazil family ministering in Hawaii. The house they are leasing was damaged by the tropical storm yesterday. No one was injured but two trees fell upon the house.
